Soon there'll be nothing left of me.

Embroiled in an ideological cage match, the discussion of social barbarism and societal ills had more of an impact on me than I'd have let her know at the time, I'm sure. It's made a vortex in my gut which has managed to swallow every capability to be careful, caring, mindful. My bootheels seem to be grinding all the little flowers and I didn't ( Read more... )

It wasn't supposed to be a layover, but apparently that wasn't part of your plan. What the hell was this? Revenge? For what? I can't fucking believe you'd use work as leverage to close the deal, either, even fucking NOW. All that noise you made about how... oh really, sod it. All. Did you actually write any of that down before you came over to read it out or was it off the cuff?

Do all business trips to LA come complete with complimentary champagne and whirlwind girls to take you out and ease the jetlag?

Women are natural magicians and illusionists. They can make an oasis appear in the middle of the desert, create clouds when the sky is too bright, and they can even make those clouds disappear when your eyes are ready for the light. One thing, though. The one I believe to be in question, she receives standing ovations wherever she goes and it's not for her slight of hand or disappearing acts. It's because it's her. It's not my place to say much more than that.

Funny, I can never get that metal taste out of my mouth no matter how many cigarettes I drink or glasses of liquor I down. Not that that stops me from trying. There's something indulgent about marching angrily down an admittedly futile path.

Hope the dour is losing its hold.

It's a fucker, isn't it? Best option is to chase it as far down as possible and knock yourself out. Futility is a popular banner. I have epaulets in its colours, I think.

Thank you. It's clearing up rather well.
