[CHARACTER INFO]
CHARACTER NAME: Gaou Rikiya
FANDOM: Eyeshield 21
CHRONOLOGY: The end of the World Youth Cup
CLASS: Hero
SUPERHERO NAME: ROAR KING
ALTER EGO: Just your everyday six and a half foot tall 10th grader.

BACKGROUND:
Gaou Rikiya hails from modern day Japan, where he attends Hakushu senior high, a mostly normal, paleontology-focused school. Impossibly large and strong, he has searched his entire life for someone who can match up to him physically. He dabbled in wrestling and other physical sports previously in school, but it wasn't until he entered high school that he met his destiny.

After disposing of a few of his classmates who happened to be in his path, Gaou was approached by the captain of the American football team, Marco. He promised Gaou a world in which all the most powerful men dwell. Gaou took him up on his offer.

Despite Marco's best effort, rumors of a destructive new lineman shot through the football circuit. Gaou's new team-the Dinosaurs-ripped through the rankings, landing them a spot in the regional finals. Marco's strategy was simple: break through the center with Gaou's immense strength and carry the ball to the end zone. It was destructively effective, and left the quarterback of every team they faced with broken bones.

Despite the previous carnage, Gaou's excitement peaked in the final games of the tournament. Like Marco promised, Gaou was meeting strong, fearless player after player. Ultimately, the Dinosaurs fell to a more brutal game and a fierce rival. Gaou simply did not have enough experience to claim victory, but as many rival players noted, his power was still evolving.

Gaou also participated in a World Youth Tournament alongside previous rivals. Gaou clashed with even more powerful players, feeding his ire and willing him grow into a destructive beast beyond expectation. And he had fun, most of all.

PERSONALITY:
Gaou's physical appearance is wide and brutish, so many assume his mind is on the same level. This is a key mistake, as a thinking monster is much more dangerous than a mindless one. While not terribly articulate, Gaou is intuitive and even somewhat smart. Often, he will sense a person's determination by the look in their eyes, even when they are not fighting. Those with weak eyes are scoffed at and ignored. Gaou does not have time to worry about wimps.

Strong eyed people catch his attention right away. His lights up like a child in a candy store when there is a man he wants to fight. Those who stand and face them on even ground gain his ultimate respect, even when he eventually defeats them. He will defend their honor violently, crushing anyone who suggests they aren't strong. In the rare occasion Gaou is defeated, he gives the victor words of respect, rather than anger. Gaou is fully committed to the rules of the battlefield.

While possessing a stupid amount of power, the point is made that Gaou knows full well how to control it. When it comes to conflict, he simply doesn't want to control himself. Control manifests in other ways. He plays by the rules while on the field, never tackling someone who doesn't have the ball. Gaou isn't a bully. He isn't out to antagonize bystanders or start a fight with those not looking for one.

Hesitation isn't in his dictionary. He moves through the world in such an unabashed fashion, his peers and elders have no idea how to handle him. He smashes through paper doors rather than opening them, rips through metal guardrails rather than climbing over, and often demands fights from the worthy seconds after sensing their strength. When asked to hold back, clam down or take it easy, he says, "Not a chance in hell."

POWER:
In canon, Gaou is called a number of things, from the strongest man alive, to the best lineman in history. But what they really mean is he's really, really buff for a high schooler. In the real world he is able to smash furniture, bend metal guardrails and break normal people's bones, all with his bare hands. He wears a titanium mouthpiece because he chews through normal ones out of excitement. In the City, his already unreasonable strength will be boosted, only to be on par with other heroes and villains should conflicts arise. He is not the strongest person in the City by far, but he will discover with practice that he is stronger than he once was.

In addition, Gaou will obtain a vocal roar that can cause damage. When he bellows, people within a 20 foot radius are stunned, as if the wind was knocked out of them. If trained and directed, the roar could cause minor physical harm to structures and people, as well as increase the distance by which it is effective.

Thirdly, Gaou will be able to shape shift into a Tyrannosaurus Rex. In this 45 foot long, 7 ton form, Gaou's physical strength will finally seem logical. His destructive roar carries over as well. This form shouldn't be immediately available to him, but something unleashed after numerous defeats and challenges. As with football, he is an evolving monster who is learning new aspects to his strength with every encounter.

COMMUNITY POST (FIRST PERSON) SAMPLE:
HEY

SOMETHING IS ALREADY BUSTED. SHIFT KEY?

OH WELL

SMALL LETTERS ARE WEAK ANYWAY

LOTS OF BORING TALK HERE. I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING THIS ACTION THEY KEEP MENTIONING WITH ALL THOSE SMALL CAUTIOUS WORDS

HEH I SHOULD JUST FIND IT FOR MYSELF

LOGS POST (THIRD PERSON) SAMPLE:
Something hurt. Like a bee sting. Like a terrier bite. It was his leg. Burning and-wetness? Oh, blood.

The coward had a gun. The other two quaked under their stalking caps and puffy sweatshirts that made them look like boils ready to be popped. But one had a gun. His arm shook, the nose wobbled. He fired, missed, fired again.

Gaou was at his throat in seconds. His leg hurt, but he wasn't mad. As if three sidewalk druggies looking for a fight could evoke any real emotion in him. It was tiresome disposing them, more than anything else. The gun clattered to the pavement as the coward choked between Gaou's palm and the brick wall. His sternum was straining, creaking, with the amazing power of the human body to shield the heart. Almost admirable.

A blur, another punk charged. But his eyes had changed. There was the fear that is bred into every human being from the beginning of time, but now it was resolved into something new. A sense of desperation, but not to stay alive. To protect. Gaou had taken punches, metal bats and even a bullet and still, this man ran at him with nothing but a yell and his bare hands.

Hm.

Gaou swung his free arm and the punk was down. His skull thumped against the pavement. His eyes showed rage, fire, and then closed.

The coward under his palm sputtered. He looked more afraid and pathetic than before. But Gaou dropped his arm, and the man fell to his knees. His eyes watched Gaou's carefully. He was cornered prey.

And boring.

"Learn from your friend," Gaou said, pointing at the only of the three willing to challenge him. "He's a good man."

And then Gaou left. He had a grocery trip to finish.
