gillian welch isn't playing in chicago at all in this current tour... and they'll be in seattle oct. 16, when i've already moved. DAMNIT!!

maybe i'll have to go visit alice and david in lexington.. i've never been to kentucky, i bet it would be cool! apparently theres this big country fest there sometime this year.

it's an important kind of scarring though. it unglorifies warfare... makes it clear that the people who start wars are never the ones who have to go die in the trenches.

it kind of reminded me of "all quiet on the western front," being as they are both about WW1. good book.. very depressing though..
