I have been trying to find the words to describe the last two weeks and I have yet to be able to construct a narrative that makes sense and conveys all that has gone on. The short answer is that things are starting to level out, but at what level, I don't yet know.
Nothing feels right or comfortable. There is a tension in the air that is nearly palpable. It is certainly not the environment that will produce the best food, or encourage employees to do their best.
Thank-you for asking, I just wish I had a more coherent answer. I am working hard to remove my emotions from the situation and evaluate what is going on objectively. Unfortunately, I am not objective, or cool, or reserved. I respond viscerally and instinctively, and often without understanding my motivations until after the fact. My body is telling me to run as fast as I can in the other direction. My bank account is telling me not to leave.
