I read your post and I hope that you too have a wonderful day. I know the feeling of being adrift at a holiday and not "feeling it". I have found that when I throw myself into making the holiday special for someone else I can regain that feeling.

Our house is lovely, not because of any amazing design, or the fine antiques, or musuem quality anything, but because it is a warm, comfortable place, filled with things I have chosen because they make us happy and more importantly, because it is big enough to hold lots of friends and family. It is the guests that are the ornament of the house.
