[ Aaaaand... some time after the fact, Vash will be getting an audio message filtered directly to him, from... that super-serious woman that used to live on the same apartment building floor as him a while back. Her voice is low. ]

Hey... do you have a minute?

[A message isn't exactly what Vash was expecting, but he answers.] I do, what do you need?

You still help handle the flower shop, right?

I do what I can. If you're worried about the flowers while she's gone, I'll be sure to do my best to take care of them.

[ There's the sound of a soft sigh. This seems more than just a little awkward to her, but... Aerith's her friend, and she's not going to be responsible for letting the woman's silly beloved plants shrivel up or whatever during her unexpected absence. Which includes... ]

There's flowers around our house too, and... I don't think any of us know what to do to take care of them.

[Vash lets out a small chuckle that's more of a sigh then anything else. He understands.] I could stop by now and then and take a look at them.

[ Still to the point, but the gratefulness is surprisingly apparent in her voice - right now... she's probably too burned out to be anything but. ]

No problem. I'll be around in a little while to see how they're doing now. [He has no idea if Aerith watered them today or not.]

[ Neither does she. But if he indeed does what he says, he's likely to find her wandering along a line of the aforementioned plants, arms loosely crossed and showing off an extremely dissatisfied expression. She just knows every last one is going to be dead within three days or less, with her luck. ]

[Vash will be there and give a wave before looking over the plants.] Well! Looks like they're all healthy and growing alright to me! But I can stop by in another couple days to make sure they stay watered enough!

You think we should just keep watering them all once a day or something, then?

[ SHE DOESN'T EVEN KNOW, MAN. She'd try to remember when she sees Aerith out here consistently to make a better guess, but considering the answer to that is all the time... yeah. ]

Just a little bit, you can actually make flowers sick if you over water them.

[ -- MIND. BLOWN.

Okay not really, but she frowns slightly as she takes that in. Back home, they had a whole army of automated things that could just monitor this sort of thing for you. How in the world is she supposed to know what is "over watering?"

But she nods all the same. ]

Well, I guess, just give them a little water whenever the soil starts to look a little dry. Maybe I'll bring my friend Rem by later. She knows more about this kind of stuff than I do really.
