A Great Wednesday

Margaux got up a little reluctantly at 10:30 this morning and took a shower, like she said she would.  She put on a pretty outfit of a blue Indian blouse and a purple broomstick skirt, also from India.  She looked so pretty and nice... freshly clean and all.

We went to Kalchandji's for lunch with Pam and Geneva and all the children. Pam was kind enough to meet me at Target on Lemmon Ave. to guide me to the temple. It was a nice time.  Geneva got my lunch for me.  We went into the temple and the kids ran around in bare feet with period reverance for the lighted areas.  The temple, for the most part, was unlit.  It was an interesting experience.  I loved watching the children.  Kobe had to get to karate lessons, so Pam and I left and went to The Science Place with the kids.  What a great museum.  Gosh, the kids had so much fun.  We were only there for 2 hours, but could have stayed all day, I'm sure.  Margaux did forget her purse with her gameboy and cell phone in it in the ambulance they were exploring.  Thank goodness it was still there when I went back for it.

Pam took Margaux home with her so she could sleep during my stress echocardiogram tomorrow morning at 8:30 a.m.  Yes, it's tomorrow.  I will be so glad to get that out of the way.  I hope Dr. McCarty doesn't require another one through Baylor, but if he does, I'll do it.  Right?  Of course, right. (Fiddler on the Roof reference)

I had hot & sour soup and chicken and broccoli tonight for dinner.  I wonder if I'll be able to eat spicy foods after surgery... specifically spicy soup.  I know I won't be able to eat the tofu and lilly buds in the soup, but if I strain it, will the chile flakes hurt me?  Well, at first I'll only be able to eat two tablespoons of anything I eat.  I guess I should start looking into how to get all the protein I need when the pouch is so small.

I miss Margaux.  I think I'll use her image for this post again.
