Fireworks
We went to the fireworks tonight, meeting the Smith-Whiteners in front of Walgreens. We set up our things and the girls played. We started settling down and enjoying conversation when Hunter showed up saying he needed help or advice. He was in a hit and run accident involving two other cars and a fire hydrant. Dennis left with Hunter to go sort things out, and D'Wanna and Avery stayed with us. D'Wanna was pretty upset. I was glad to be there so she could talk about her fears. This is Hunter's 3rd major accident and twice he'd totalled his cars. They aren't sure this one is totalled yet. It needs a new radiator, grill, hood, and bumper, and possibly new tire. He was not physically harmed, thank goodness. He actually knocked the fire hydrant off its base and into someone's yard, but no water came out.
The fireworks were impressive, but short. The ones at the Round Rock Express games were longer. Margaux had fun, though. It took us about an hour to get home in the traffic, but I learned more about Plano and figured out where I was going a different way home.
