Shahram called Baylor yesterday and asked them what the next step was after submission of the paperwork..... The woman told him that it takes 6 to 8 weeks to get all the way through the paperwork, submission to United Healthcare and hearing back from them. Guh! Everyone I spoke with said it would be less than a month. My heart just sunk when I heard this news from Baylor yesterday. I'm glad that Shahram called and got that news, though. I wouldn't have wanted the person on the other end of the phone to hear my disappointment.
The good news, however, is that Shahram will be covered for 20 visits to a physical therapist, and that he's seeing his new physician today to have his stomach checked and have a general physical exam. Yay!
Sometimes, Nichole, when things take longer than you thought they would, it's just a gentle reminder from your greater self (me), that you have more time than you thought, and that there's a journey to enjoy.
Besides, Nichole, just because it's taking longer than you thought it would, doesn't mean stuff isn't happening, even as you read these words.
