When I was a kid, I used to wonder what it would be like to live in the hollow of a very large tree. I'd read a story about it, and couldn't get the thought out of my head. acting upon the slightest inclination,
acting upon hope;

Curiously,
gazing over the light,
unwavering,
and waiting:
There is always more to say.

Climbing over fallen trees,
Feeling for branches and skin,
breath and buttons,
warmth...
Saliva and salt,
hands and pulse--
pleasure,
the scent of wet grass
and earth
in a blind paradise.
