As i mentioned in my last post, i signed up for Screen Select a while ago. Basically i create a list of DVDs i would like to see and they send me random ones from that list when ever i return on of the ones they have already sent me. I decided this was a good plan because there are several DVDs in my collection that i only bought because i kind of ( Read more... )

Shark Attack 3 looks like lots of fun so i'm looking forward to seeing it.

I really must get round to buying Before Sunrise and Before Sunset on region 2 now that they are available. I have them on region 1 but my computer is playing up a bit so i'm not sure if it would manage to play them now. :(

Thank you

I get the feeling i'm going to regret adding that one. You should see the customer reviews for it. They never give more than 1 star out of 5 and most of them say it only got 1 because it's not possible to give zero. Should be interesting to be just how bad it is though :p

Mr Ice Cream man is the funniest film you will ever see. And I suggest The Deerhunter and Dougal and the Blue Cat.

The Deer hunter has been added but unfortunately Dougal and the Blue Cat has never been released on DVD. In fact, IMDb.com claims it hasn't even been released on VHS :(

I signed up to them a few weeks ago - it's great.

Machuca isn't out til the 24th of October but by the time you get round to watching the others you'll be able to get that out. I saw it at the cinema this year and it was brilliant.

Also anything by Ken Loach is good. Saw Private earlier this year and it was very well done with lots of tension/suspense keepin' you on the edge of yer seat.

I could sit here all day and recommend films really - other films I've enjoyed this year have been The Edukators, Downfall and Mondays In The Sun.

Thanks for the recomendations. I've added a few of them. I've really enjoyed always having something to watch especially when i was in Cupar. It seems the postal service in Cupar was better than it is in Edinburgh though. Generally i recieved the discs the morning before the expected date when living in Cupar but so far my first lot of discs here didn't arrive until the morning after the expected date. It could just be bad luck though.

Thanks again
