Unfortunately it isn't showing in London until the new year (RSC).

From what I remember, the role starts as a on the ball older chap who then goes down hill until he's completely mad, but not in a nasty way (although I could be wrong)...!

The Lawrence Olivier version is a really good version (IMHO). I studied Lear for A-level, and had to watch it repeatedly :)

I have just ordered the Brian Blessed version as I think he is great. But I may order the Lawrence Olivier version as well after I get payed.

I am thinking of videoing my rehearsals so I can watch them back and take the sound of it and burn it to CD so I get the right ques and the emotions form the other actors.
