Today has been a quiet sort of day. I did watch The Human Centipede and its sequel with my older brother though, which was quite an amusing time. Moreso just spending time with/laughing with him, actually, do not do that nearly often enough. Means I get to ask him things like, "why is there a shoe in the freezer ( Read more... )

I have watched the first Human Centipede but not the second one. I'm a bit disappointed Dieter Laser couldn't be (for obvious reasons) in the sequel!

When we met I didn't even think of you as the type to watch this kind of movie :p You are full of surprises!

Hahah, gosh, I wouldn't... exactly recommend the second one. OR WELL, I mean, it really just depends on your attitude I suppose. The first one is held together by a thin veneer of plot, the second one is an atrocious festival of carnage and torture (and manages to throw plenty of sexual abuse in there was well). If you approach it knowing it's going to be outlandish and ridiculous, and if you're with like-minded company, then you can probably get some laughs. But that's about all I'd say of it, hahaha.

Although it does have a certain self-aware meta sort of angle to it, I suppose. (If you watch it, you would see that Laser's presence would not be completely impossible :o!)

And hahaha, I have to admit that I don't watch many movies (and truly_bohemian typically dictates what I do see). I just couldn't resist something this completely outrageous! What can I say, hahaha.

I think I'll probably watch it eventually, but right now I'm in no hurry to :p

I just like the mental image of truly_bohemian dragging you to watch movies and you going along dutifully. What was the last one she made you watch?
