(no subject)
So, baby Amelia Grace is buried now. She was cremated a week or so ago (what is passage of time), and I guess they put her ashes in the ground this morning. I went up there this evening with my brother and Hannah, my mother and my father. Strange to have almost have that... nuclear unit back together, short of Charlie we had the whole darn set, haha. Ahhh...
Not too much to say, is just another event of note in all of this. I didn't go to the hospital, I wasn't asked to the funeral. Neither of those things offend me, I completely understand and accept all the reasons. It doesn't bother me logically or emotionally. But it does mean this was my first time in... her presence, as it were. She doesn't have a gravestone yet, too earlier for that, so they've placed a little windmill and a stone statue of a teddy bear there for the time being. She's very close to a tree, my dad commented on that; Jimi said it would be there to protect her. I think that comment, his voice, is probably going to stay with me.
My dad's voice as well. He didn't cry, we're all far too emotionally backwards for that, but his voice very clearly cracked and he scolded himself. I can't remember the last time I saw my father cry. There have been very few. But mm, his best friend is also in that graveyard, so those guys all went off to visit and I stayed behind for a bit.
Then we got locked in, haha, full chain and padlock across the gates fifteen minutes before the cemetery was due to close. Thank you very much for checking around before closing up, whoever you are, hahaha... as you can see, we did manage to find alternate escape route :|
I think this is the last time I'll have much need to talk on this, you'll be happy to hear. I feel like I have... spoken on it too frequently and at too much length as it is, though perhaps that is just my stupid getting ahead of me. I do think, after all, this is only the second public update. If you are not V.S. or Tibastian I do not suppose you have heard much at all. Ahh, well. At any rate.
Meanwhile, life has been busy enough, but not bad. Working a decent amount, I should be grateful for it really! And really, it hasn't been bad. And I've been having the most wonderful time with my RP, with War and with the Games, ahhh, I do not have much room to complain. I apologise for not updating more often, for generally updating morose when I do. I am going to London MCM Expo at the end of this month, perhaps I will make a more interesting update then...!
