Episode 6 ‡ Another Day [Accidental Video]
[The feed begins. Where the screen is focused, cold lockers can be seen over the body of a cat alien. It seems pretty tense in the room. Two workers, Naomi and Kiriko are glaring at each other. They're scrubbed up, wearing their gloves and masks, and both of them have a scalpel in their hands]
This is the first body we've had in days. You sit out this time.
I don't need a sick, feeble woman to babysit me, Doctor. Put the scalpel down, you're not needed.
Babysit you? You had me fooled grandma.
Grandm-?!... Damned hag! Get out!
[Seething, Kiriko grits his teeth and steps forward towards the patient, trying to ignore her. He seizes a handheld recorder nearby, speaking into it harshly and looking down at the body.]
Beginning the U-Incision into the acromial process. [He turns it off, and rudely snaps] What are you still standing there for, Kimishima?! Leave!
Leave!? You leave! Move aside, Kiriko!
[Pushes him aside with a rough shove. Seriously, he's lucky she's still using his name. He responds to this by grabbing her arm tightly and forcefully yanking it back.]
This is MY patient, witch! Don't make me break your arm!
[She breaks out of his hold and spin kicks him in the side]
Try it, geezer!
[Kiriko is easily knocked down by her kick, but quickly scrambles back up and tries to pin her against the wall... knocking down a cart filled with surgical equipment in the process. It spills onto the floor with a crash. Of course she's not getting held down that easily, but at that moment, a voice off screen booms]
Kiriko! Kimishima! This is the fourth time I've broken you up today! Both of you out! Come back when you have settled this damn argument!
[Kiriko shoots an accusatory glare at Naomi, throws the recording device at her, straightens up, and begins to walk out the door. He grumbles something to himself as he's leaving.]
Wasp! This is exactly why women shouldn't be allowed to practice medicine...
[Naomi catches the recorder and tosses it at their boss.]
Sensible doctors retire before any forms of dementia set in.
[... Is that red light flashing? She walks over to the table and picks up the Guide, turning it off.]
(OOC: Nope, Naomi hasn't hit stage two yet. This is just another day for Kiriko and Naomi. Blue is Naomi, Purple is Kiriko, and Black is the Bossman)
