[The Guide is hovering over Patchy so as to show both her and the table in front of her. There is a spread of
cards on the table in front of her. Judging by the presence of another deck opposite her and an alien arm holding a hand, it appears she's playing against someone. The ambient noise of talking and activity off-camera suggests they are in a public place. Perhaps the mall.]
I don't know why you persist any longer. Winning at this point is impossible for you.
I can turn this game around easy! and I've got just the card to do it with!
Hmph. I guess it is too bad for you, then, that it is not your turn.
Do the math. I'm defended enough to last until my turn.
[Patchy plays a card.]
Not anymore. Tap all non-flying creatures.
[All of the alien's creatures and two of Patchy's are turned sideways.]
...And I think you know what comes next. I'll just attack with everything else I have, and that means you lose.
[It takes a bit for the alien opponent to respond.]
I... Damn. I-it was all my starting hand. I was mana-starved!
[Patchy just shoos the loser away. He gathers his deck and leaves. With that, the camera floats down to rest at the table where he one sat, facing Patchy.]
...This is a very interesting game I have found. It's based around elemental magic, each color representing a different element and style of play. The representation is incomplete and it uses the Western elemental spectrum rather than the Eastern one, but I digress. Is there anyone else out there who knows of this game or would like to learn? I have some free time.
[((OOC: Patchy is playing Magic: the Gathering, for those who haven't figured it out.))]
