Hello aliens and other extraterrestrials! I’m Haruhi Suzumiya, from planet Earth. Well, I guess it isn’t a planet anymore, but that’s alright. A space ship is an acceptable replacement for a home. It really could use some upgrades in the paperwork system, though. Aliens should have brain scanners and probes, not forms. [She pouts for a moment, then quickly recovers.]
But the most important thing to focus on is the people! I know that there are lots of aliens on this ship, but what other kinds of beings are there? Time travelers? Espers? Space pirates? Intergalactic crime fighters? I want to meet all of the interesting people here, so introduce yourselves!
And to all of my brigade members: I didn’t see any of you in the queue line. You should reassemble yourselves and prepare for a briefing from your leader in exactly two hours. I’ll be in room 3-7. The last one to show up will receive a penalty. Absolutely no excuses!
