[Cheery blossoms. Flowing gently to the ground at the boy's feet. The moon as red as the blood staining the ground and the woman's clothes, held in the arms of a silver-haired man. The light of the moon catching the blade of a knife. The woman (dying or already dead) falls to the ground in the man's arms as he releases her at the sight of the boy watching. He'd just taken a walk when he couldn't sleep. It wasn't supposed to end like this....

Tsuzuki. The boy's partner. So cheerful yet always seeming to hold undertones of guilt. The boy didn't care. So when Tsuzuki was possessed, Hisoka did his best to push past his feelings instinctively telling him to protect his partner, to not fight him. He had to, for there to be anything worth saving. But it wasn't enough to qualm the underlying sense of fear at seeing his partner acting this way. It made his heart race even faster, made him act with urgency. To get Tsuzuki back as soon as possible. Back to normal. His smile should never to besmirched in that grotesque smirk, almost feral. And Tsuzuki would never say these things. Hisoka found he would do almost anything to get him back. Annoying as his partner sometimes was, he was....home, in his opinion. Hisoka had to do it. Had to help Tsuzuki get back to his senses. And if that meant taking Hijiri's place and being bait, so be it. If this would bring him back, Hisoka would gladly do it. Tsuzuki had proven himself willing to sacrifice himself in harm's way for Hisoka before. Now it was Hisoka's turn. This protectiveness swelled in his chest, an almost unfamiliar feeling but the boy couldn't help it. His stubborness over-rode the fear he felt, the hesitancy. This was not Tsuzuki. And Hisoka, as his partner, had a duty to him to help get him back. Free him. Which was exactly what he would do. Any pain he might feel would be nothing in comparison to the confliction, guilt and physical pain his partner was going through. He kept telling himself that, feeling both his own physical pain and Tsuzuki's emotionally through his empathy as his partner attacked, the knife penetrating his skin and the blood flowed.]
