Another Doctor?

-- Sorry, another what?

Someone else introduced himself as 'the Doctor' before. [In a slightly similar talky manner. Hm.]

Ah, is that so? [ he looks a bit apprehensive ] Did he sound or look like me, at all? If so, I ought to give him a wide berth. No telling what kind of mess we'd cause if we ran into one another.

[He's trying to gather the information in his head. Thinking... Maybe same universe. But same person? ...anything was possible here..

After a small pause he shakes his head.]

Didn't look or sound like you. [Aside from talking a lot but that doesn't seem important.] He was looking for Amy Pond- [Someone he used to know but she isn't here anymore. Oh and,] and fezzes. [He's hoping these details might help or something.]

[ The Doctor looks very serious as he takes all of this information in, but then-- ]

I haven't the faintest clue who that might be. Maybe a case of mistaken identity, yeah?

[ he pauses briefly ] But-- fezzes? Really?

[A slight shrug. He tries to think. What would have been more telling than random people and hats? Ah! He remembers.]

He also mentioned a ship called the TARDIS. [He couldn't even really understand at first. That had to be a special thing.]

[ That definitely gets a strong reaction out of him -- and he's looking like a strange mix of excited, angry, and frightened. ]

The TARDIS? Are you absolutely sure he mentioned the TARDIS?

Completely. [And to back up why that is-] He said he travels through space and time with it. Though last I spoke with him, he'd lost it.

[doctorate]

[ The Doctor's looking really, properly concerned now ]

You know, I'm starting to feel very much out of my depth right now, which is saying quite a lot.

He's not still here, is he? It'd be a bit dangerous to run into myself.

This place does that to people. [He seems sincere. Really, he couldn't imagine what other crap it could get up to with him- reviving people from his three thousand year old past or who knows what else. He's glad it hasn't. Yet.]

He is here, though.

[doctorate]

[ The Doctor lets out a breath and shrugs ] I suppose I'll just have to be extremely careful, then, otherwise things could get messy.

[ he pauses for a second to think this over, but immediately brightens up ] But enough of that! I haven't caught your name, yet.

[He just seems to take that first part into consideration. When he speaks again, it's with a great amount of pride and confidence.]

[ Unfortunately, the Doctor doesn't seem to notice the pride with which Atem speaks his name, so he says rather nonchalantly, ]

Good to meet you then, Atem. Have you been here very long, then?

Nine months. [There is absolutely no hesitation in this answer, no thinking about it either. He immediately had the number right away.]

[ he notices this ] Oh, that was a bit quick. Are you keeping track?
