Oh? I'm afraid I haven't been here before now. Might've been a future version of myself, maybe. It's-- really very tricky and complicated and impressive.

Ah, yes. Well, about that. There's another man here who calls himself the Doctor, but he doesn't look like you.

[John is actually a little amused that for once his name isn't followed by questions about Sherlock.]

I've been on board for about nine months now, as the ship reckons time anyway.

No, definitely The Doctor. He has a TARDIS and everything.

... Well, I assume he has a TARDIS. He was looking for it when I talked to him, but that was a few months ago when he first arrived.

He seemed to think it would be dangerous? I suppose you can't be too careful, considering how many timelines and alternate worlds are already intersecting here.

But I'm just a doctor, so I'm just guessing about that last bit.

[John chuckles a little.] Well, here and a lot of telly back home.

I'm from London. The year 2010, to be specific. [There's another smile.] And if you were curious, yes, I did live with Sherlock Holmes. Still do, actually.
