002 : [video/action] : PERFUME PLOT

Jun 19, 2011 11:59

[When the feed turns on, it shows Basch with fragments of glass in his hand, the remnants of something that used to be a perfume bottle.]

This was delivered to me erroneously, this morning. Upon inspection, it seemed to be a bottle of perfume, however--

[He cants his head, furrowing his brows a little.]

The thing was delicate. My apologies to any ( Read more... )

[Action.] (lovely, horrible action.) missthewoman June 19 2011, 22:57:04 UTC
[Irene passes by someone making a guide post, and her ear catches the odd thing of interest. Especially that last line, which makes her grin in amusement and cast a glance back at him. That was quite funny. She'd have to remember that one.]

[That perfume is really strong, dear. Perhaps you ought to have a shower. As soon as possible... what a delightful mental image-
Ahem.]

I hope may I have the opportunity to make your heart glad again.

Ah, I overheard you say that you broke a bottle? I do hope your hands are all right. [She takes his hand and turns it over, looking for cuts.]

[He's almost forgotten about the scent, too preoccupied with hers now-- he's not sure how it's possible for him to be smelling it over his own pungent perfume, but he's not going to question that now.]

I bore a few cuts, but none of consequence.

[He has a scrape or two, which he shows her calmly-- in the process, he takes his free hand and holds her wrist, as if supporting it.]

[She smiles for how he is holding her wrist, then looks back up at him.]

Still, you had best have them taken care of. I can bandage them for you once we get to my room, if you like.

If you would oblige me, m'lady.

[And he takes her hand in his and presses his lips against it once more, letting go and once again starting to escort her, in knightly fashion.

A man of few words, but a silent romantic, maybe. MAYBE.]

Of course.

[Peculiar, how attracted to him she'd feeling, because she usually drawn to the more adventurous types... but nothing to say that this gentleman didn't have his fair share of adventurous spirit too. Not that silent romantics aren't nice as well...]

[They walk in silence for a moment, then they enter the corridor that her room is along.]

Here we are... Please, come inside. [As she leads the way to the washroom, she asks,]
Tell me, if you would, what is your vocation?

[Not quite...adventurous, maybe, but he's seen his fair share of adventure-- it shows, since. Well. He has a sword strapped to him and everything.

He follows Irene into her room (which is something he would NOT have done on a sane day) and moves towards the sink to rinse his hands.]

Formerly a knight of the Dalmascan army. I have lost my post due to erroneous dishonor, but I have ne'er forsaken my vows.

[Well, if nothing else, at least she still has a knack for running into gentlemen. And this one was a knight, no less.
As he washes his hands she reaches under the sink to bring out the box of adhesive bandages (quite thing thing, that innovation!), then picking a clean towel holds it out. (Whether he takes it or allows her to dry his hands is up to him.)]

I see. Well, do not worry. The past doesn't matter too much here, on this ship in the stars.

Nay. It is a title I have been prepared to wear-- I would no discard it here, nor in my world.

[Captain Honorable fon Knightface indeed.

He takes the towel himself, and cleans his hands off before handing Irene the cloth, bowing his head respectfully at her in a show of gratitude.]

You do me too much good.

[As she carefully unwraps one of the bandages, she smiles.]

And I was about to do a little more. But if I continue doing too much good to you, how ever might you be able to repay me?

[There's a pause at her question, and then Basch, OH MAN, smiles, reaching out to brush a loose piece of hair off her face.]

I would have you state your conditions.

Re: [Action.] missthewoman June 27 2011, 21:16:17 UTC
[Too bad that Irene doesn't know your character enough to wonder at that smile, Basch.
And oh, dear, don't put the ball in her court when her head is full of amorous perfume. (She's got to stop meeting men this way. Or... not, really. She doesn't mind.)]

[Her smile deepening, she takes his hand to bandage one small cut that is still bleeding. That done, she gives the tip of his finger a light but lingering kiss. Stepping close, she clasps his hand in hers and holds it to her chest.
She is really not that type of woman, but she is finding herself inexorably attracted to him. And she would rather like to do something about it.]

Oh, I have something in mind. [Quite literally. That mental image from earlier- ahem.]

But perhaps you would like to see if my first condition is agreeable before I state my second.

[And with a quick motion she brings a hand up behind his head to encourage him to bend forward, as she goes up on her toes to kiss the knight deeply.]

[His rational reaction would have been to dissuade her by gently pushing her back, surprised or puzzled or even both--

--but of course, there's not much room for rational thinking when Basch is quite literally the equivalent of an intoxicated person right now. He has to lean forward to meet Irene's lips, but he does so with an almost laughable earnesty, putting one hand against her cheek and carefully reciprocating.

A romantic, this one.]

[Pleased at his eagerness and reciprocation, she caresses the back of his neck while leaning further into him. Once the kiss ends she brings her lips to his ear and whispers,]

Are you agreeable to a further, second condition? [It doesn't take much imagination to interpret her tone to see how much 'further' she means.]

Re: [Action.] armorumvigiles June 29 2011, 18:40:09 UTC
[No, she's not really leaving much to the imagination. And no, Basch usually never lets his mind travel to those sorts of options (duty before personal... 'relief', let's go with that word)...

...but let's just blame this on the perfume, okay? Captain Ronsenburg is not sound of mind right now, and Irene is a very attractive woman, and we all know where that leads. sobbing

Instead of answering, Basch moves forward and sweeps Irene off her feet, literally, carrying her easily in bridal fashion. GET OUT BASCH]

[With a startled laugh as he sweeps her up, she smiles alluringly. Well, she hadn't seen that coming - which makes it even more delightful. (Always a pleasure to be swept off her feet~)]

Last door on the right.

[She then applies a quick hand and easily undoes the buckles of his vest.]
