I'm concerned about the Guide's explanation of this world's God... Surely a deity wouldn't willingly cause harm and strife to their worshipers, would they?

I wonder if one can meet this God, and speak with them. The inhabitants of this planet must not enjoy suffering the tribulations the Guide describes.
