[On the screen, a Vogon is droning on about arrival paperwork and returning passengers. Suddenly a voice off screen speaks.]
Enough.
[A hand reaches into view and taps the Vogon on the head, instantly knocking it unconscious. As the Vogon's head hits the desk, the Guide is picked up and a very annoyed Castiel looks into the screen for a minute

[Cas is back, he didn't get his ass permanently wormholed. Cas is back!]

[There's amusement in his voice, but as he takes the bottle back he glances away and doesn't quite meet Gin's eyes.]

What can I say? I'm demanding. [His voice, to his annoyance, is a little raw. Seriously, he's totally jelly of Castiel's ability to process alcohol.] But seriously, if you don't want to tell me that's fine. It's not like I tell you everything.

So he keeps it vague. Again.]
In order to fight that war I had to make some...difficult decisions. My friends... [There's a moment of hesitation over that word.]
... Well, they didn't always approve of my decisions.

Sometimes, if you want to win you have to play dirty. Those who cling to shit like morales end up dead or are ignorant fucks who don't know what it's like to be weak.[He pauses here because, whoops, that's getting uncomfortable for him.]

[He takes another drink and then sets the bottle on the table as he takes a seat.]
I thought if anyone could understand, it would be Dean. I suppose that was foolishly optimistic of me. Apparently it's somehow different when I'm the one making the decisions.
[And Cas can't quite keep the bitterness from coloring his voice.]

You did what you had to, Cas. Whether it was right or wrong doesn't really matter.

[The amusement doesn't last long though.] No matter what I did, things just got more and more...complicated.

He stares down at his hands for a moment, with his thoughts a million miles away.]
It was almost over. For better or for worse, we only needed a few more days...
[He lets the thought trail off and takes another drink from the bottle. Then he seems to come back to himself and give the bottle a closer look.]
This still tastes vile.

[After some more coughing, Gin finally speaks again.] You found a way to fight Raphael and his followers to keep them from jump-starting the Apocalypse. This I have to hear.
And yeah, I noticed.

I didn't so much find a way as have it presented to me on a silver platter, with some very obvious strings attached.
[Cas leaves the bottle on the table and sits back in his chair with a quiet sigh.]
Unfortunately I didn't have much choice. Raphael only gave me a day before I had to submit to his authority or be destroyed.

There's a demon about to be involved in this story, isn't there? [The remark is made mostly in jest but he knows it's not impossible. Demons have this tendency to show up when you need them the most with deals that are obviously so very shady.]
A whole day? Wow. He must have been in a good mood.

Yes, it was a demon. The new "King of Hell" in fact, since Lucifer was locked away. He was rather...persuasive.
And Raphael has always enjoyed theatrics. [Which is a nice way of saying he's a drama queen.]

[Yes, he knows that doesn't really make it any better. He probably sounds a little defensive now.]
I didn't have many options. Crowley offered a straw, and I grasped it.
