[The feed crackles and gives a sharp sound of feedback as he messes around with the guide before settling on James' voice. The constant sigh in his tone should be indicative enough that he hasn't the heart to turn the video feed itself on, but make no mistake, this is no accidental post.]Am I the only one that gets the sneaking suspicion sometimes ( Read more... )

I...it's... [He's simply not used to not being able to do everything at whim, honestly.]

Do you ever miss England?

I... I do, actually. The familiar bustle of Soho, dining at the Ritz with Crowley, the little salon around the corner...

I don't want to believe it's all gone...

But do you? Do you think they're telling the truth when they said it's gone and it's never coming back?

I'll kill You-Know-Who for this. Really, I will.

Crowley said he watched the planet explode. I... I trust him.

[He frowns.]

I'm afraid I don't know who...

Right. Sort-of muggle you are and all.

Back home we were sort of...well, sort of in the middle of a war, actually. The wizards. Against this completely mad tosser named...You-Kn...Voldemort.

[Even though he's the one saying it, the name causes a long pause, brought upon by wary, paranoid glances over his shoulder.]

Never been scared of the asshole myself, not really. But his followers are just as cracked as he is, and they don't like it when you use their "Dark Lord's name in vain", right?

I just...I don't want to think that he was able to cause all this. That he won, right? Because that...he can't win.

All my friends were back there, and what if--what if something...happened? Before the planet exploded, or whatever it's done?

Oh dear... That sort of sounds like some of those from Down Below. Not Crowley, of course; he rather has a mind of his own, I'd wager.

I do so hope your friends have made it out alright.

D'you really think they could have?

I believe it's quite possible. After all, Crowley is about two years behind me, yet he watched the Earth be destroyed. I certainly can't explain the discrepancy, but I would even be so bold as to venture that your friends may arrive here on the Thor from all manner of time periods.

Two years--really?

That's what he said, at least. And I really have no reason to doubt him.

Well, alright. Maybe...

But it's been three months--I think--that's not too long, is it?

I don't think there's any sort of statute of limitations.

Oh. Well, then...good. Still taking a bit of time, but, if they can still come...

Good.
