I've talked to Italy a few times, and Canada I know pretty well. [There's a different kind of warmth in her smile now (is that a blush, I see?) but she can easily distract from it with a light laugh. No problem, psh, no one saw anything.] And America, yeah, I definitely know America.

It's a complicated and long story, love, but it isnae any o' me daein', I can assure ye that. A lot o' me citizens moved tae Canada and America soon after they broke from me brother. Ye could say I influenced them in a few ways, more Canada than America.
But, aye, they left us.

[Knowing the countries first as people instead of as nations makes for slight difficulty transitioning the concepts. Part of the reason she hasn't asked many questions about it. She's starting to reconsider that, though, she really wants to understand better.]
