[the boy raises an eyebrow at Renji, but says nothing. he turns his attention to maka and flashes her a sly grin.]
"You should be enjoying your break away from this place, not being cooped up in here twenty-four/seven. C'mon, I know a kickass place we can chill until your breaks over."
[she smiles politely and shakes her head.]
No, I think I better stay here. I don't want to run late when I have to go back. Shinjiro's pretty anal about that.
"C'mooooooon. Don't make me give you the puppy eyes."
[and of course, he does so and maka giggles.]

[the boy, however, he takes a good look at renji and eeehhhhhh, he seems kinda.... scary. you know with the big muscle and the grrr face. he scoots off screen and says with unease.]

Jus' don't get too comfortable. An' never say yes when they're askin' ya like that... not unless ya know they're okay.
[he's making this a little more intense that it needs to be, he realises... maybe that boy was just a kid looking to hang out. but he's lived in a place where there's no such thing as innocence, and old knowledge is hard to break out]
