[002 | video] I read the news today, oh boy!

[The video clicks on to the camera propped up in Lily's tiny kitchen, set so she can easily see it while she does whatever the hell it is she is doing with that giant simmering pot. Her hair is piled haphazardly directly on top of her head, which means it's sort of all over the place and definitely adding to her very frazzled look. She raps the pot ( Read more... )

(Sirius had spent quite a while running around the ship looking for James. When he first noticed his stuff was gone--after bursting into his room in order to discuss the best way to transfigure a ball from the planet into a Dungbomb--he immediately set out to search for him. With, of course, no luck.

And so, being the manly man Sirius was, he had locked himself in his room to sulk in peace.)

Well I had to make sure, didn't I? It's not like I found out long before you did, anyway. Judging by your reaction, though, I'm bloody glad I didn't tell you.

That was a coincidence. [she waves her wand at a patch of explosion she's missed.] You still should have done. Have you just been holed up alone in your room this whole time then?

More like you were having a bit of a fit and not paying attention. You've missed a spot, by the way. (He points to a bit of splattered wall behind her) And no, I haven't been. Like I said, I have a job that takes up more hours than I would like. Have to keep the fans appeased and all that.

Right, the fans. How could I forget your fans, your pillow and your quilt. [she takes care of the last bit of the mess and starts doing her hair back up.] I was actually trying to find substitutions for potion ingredients I can't get my hands on, if you must know.

And my snacks, Evans, you forgot my snacks. (He smirks) Found a few good ones, then? Seemed to be all right before that last calculation. At least your hypothesis was correct. It did blow up.

Dog biscuits?

[she raises a wry eyebrow, but as he continues her mouth drops open in indignation.]

Yes, that's what I told him! But no, the most prolific potions master in England has to look down his nose at my simple humble experiment. It definitely was the plant, and you're absolutely right, as it happens I did know it'd blow. Inevitable, really.

Pudding, thank you very much.

(He also raises an eyebrow, but it's more out of amusement about her little rant than anything.

Wait.)

"Most prolific potions master in England"? You're not talking about Moony, I hope?

[she rolls her eyes - like she and Moony hardly ever disagreed about anything.]

Your other favorite person, recently arrived.

Wha--him! Prolific potions master! (HA!) Is that what he calls himself? Look, Evans, don't take anything he says too seriously. A bit hard to look down a gigantic nose like that. You'd have to have some brilliant eyesight, and I don't think he's even got that.

He was always ace at Potions, I suppose anything could happen.

[she shrugs, twisting the tie around her high pony tail one final time]

Could you come round though? I'd say I am a big high-strung at the moment. I'll treat you to takeaway.

Wouldn't take any of his advice if I were you. Could end up poisoning someone.

(He rolls his eyes a bit. Prolific potions master.)

A bit high-strung? I'd say that's putting it lightly. But yeah, I could come over, I suppose. Can't say no to a free meal.

I promise not to poison you. This time, anyway. You'd better hurry in any case, I'm leaving now.

Well, I'll be able to sleep a little easier now. I'll meet you there, then. Shouldn't be more than a few minutes. Hope they've been paying you well at that new job of yours. I somehow managed to skip lunch.
