Kids actually have a surprising amount of expendable income. Parents tend to spoil them a bit, plus they don't have bills or anything.

That's not the case for all of them. As far as I know, at least.

It's hard to tell how many children came onto the ship with enough money for anything anyway.

That's true... And I bet since this ship is full of refugees and stuff, they don't exactly get their allowances anymore.

Exactly. Unless they came with credits, and I really doubt that.

Okay, okay, but what if they come from a planet where being 20 is like being 10 because they have way longer lifespans?

...you know, I never thought about that. I guess I'll deal with that when it happens.

It might of, but most of the people I've spoken to at this point seem like they're from Earth-- or some variant of it, at least.
