[The camera turns on to reveal a dimly lit room.]
[Midii sits in the center at a small, circular table. There are candles surrounding her, flickering lights bouncing off her flowing blonde locks in a way that make it seem as if she were surrounded by a halo. To further the ethereal illusion, the young girl is also wearing a long, flowy green dress

A Question to ask the cards, please?
[Doesn't bother with the name/adjective business. She already has just the Signifier for you, Lady~]

[straight to the point yet vague all the same]
[lol what is it?]

[Midii says nothing regarding the question, even though it intrigues her. She briefly debates inquiring more into this "pursuit" of Lady's under the guise of needing as much information as possible for the Cards to work.]
[Shuffle, shuffle. Spread. Flip]
Let's see...the first card that shows itself is the reversed Queen of Coins. This represents the Atmosphere surrounding the Central issue. In this case...A heart of stone. Preoccupation with security that stunts enjoyment. Crystalline Coldness.
[If Midii had been feeling better, she might have giggled. These were the words in the manual, not her own. But she kept her poker face on as she flipped over the next card.]
And the Obstacle standing in your way...is the Death card. Loss. The end of an old situation, but it can also mean the beginning of something new.

I see.
[hm...had Zechs let anything slip about His Excellency?]
And the risk factor in all this?
[exemplifying that preoccupation with security 8|]

I...can't say for certain, Lady Une.
[There are ten cards in all, and they've only just gotten through the first two]
I can only tell you what the Cards are telling me.
For example, this one here represents the Best you can Achieve without a Dramatic Change of Priorities. [Normally, "Goal", but that words is a bit too forward for a reading with this one] In this case, it says the Four of Staves. A... pleasurable, maybe even amorous interlude. A playful balance of opposites.
And the Foundation on which the Situation is based is represented by the Three of Cups. Rescue from Difficulty. Comfort in Apprehension. A strange, yet beautiful occurance.

[which is likely how she would describe him anyway]

[Flip, flip. Next!]
The next two cards are the Influences in your Life. The one to the left of the cross is more of a Passing Influence. Something that needs to be Realized before you can move forward. A reversed Sun, which symbolizes haunting memories. Nostalgia.
...and an approaching Influence, which is yet to come, is the reversed Ace of Coins. Wealth without Happiness. Avarice. Worry.

Considering Preventer's current financial state, wealth would be a boon regardless of circumstance. I'm not counting on fate for that though.

This Card here represents your Role or Attitude. The Ace of Swords. A dominance over will and zealous convictions. It's usually considered to be the sword of righteousness.
On the bottom, we have your Environment, or perhaps the People you Interact with. The Nine of Cups. A sort of...misleading freedom. Refusal to cleave to others.

Ah well, if those around me were easy to deal with, diplomacy wouldn't be such a highly-prized skill.

[...well, by now, if was growing harder and harder for her not to.]
The Card at the top of the Staff can mean one of three things. Your Hopes, Fears, or an Unexpected Element that comes into play. In this case, we have the...Knight of Swords. An enthusiastic man of action. Who confronts the world at full-speed. Sunny, but fierce and leonine.
....and the Ultimate Outcome, should you continue on the course you are on now, is the Ten of Coins. Prosperity. Tranquility. Familiar affection. [If one were to define "affection" in the loosest of terms]
