I've lived in America for a time. I can understand how important it can be.

[Aya nods, remembering the good memories around this season.]

It does, and I usually drown it out with work or drinks. [He's not a heavy drinker, but a few never hurt.]

Work is being pretty quiet and drink is certainly gonna be plentiful here.

[ Although with what he has in mind, he will probably find the nearest bottle to crawl into. ]

[A hand is still behind the other, concerned about the other. It was hard for himself to keep up these walls he built so long ago with the cement of vengeance, so seeing Sho so distraught...would he crack one dya?]

We'll work on boosting customers later. It's not as mind-numbing.

[ He shook his head and reached over to pat Aya on the shoulder, knowing that he also has these problems, just that he is a bit better at hiding them. ]

Vodka or sake. Bourbon's for better times.

..sake. [Vodka was common, and sake was a special case. Aya hadn't had a lot of it, so why not indulge now?]

There's a special bottle in the back room. It's actually from Japan. [ Gives his shoulder a squeeze and gets up to fetch it. ] Think you want to drink it the traditional way or go for broke?

The traditional way is usually going for broke.

Sounds good to me. [ And it takes him a few to grab the bottle and a couple glasses before he is settling back in his seat and cracking the bottle open. ]

Didn't even know there was sake around.

I usually trade to get my hands on some. There's a couple alien drinks that's almost the same but I prefer the real thing.

[ And he gets the cork out to pour them both a decent shot of sake. ]

How is it almost the same? [Takes his shot, waiting for Sho to do the same.]

The rice is grown differently or something. [ Shrugs and takes his shot then refills their glasses. ] Or it is a grain like rice but not quite the same.

[He definitely remembers that burn. Sake is right up there with Vodka in his opinion.]

Only a few places in Japan make the best sake, so I'm not surprised that the selection here isn't up to par. This is pretty good, though.
