[the intercom switches on, and for a moment there's silence.

...Ratta rat rattata. Rattatatata!
Rattata? Rattata! Raaaa-- Rattata.
[There's another, very long, very annoyed silence. Occasionally a muffled 'rattata' can be heard in the background.
After a few minutes of this, the speaker seems to give up, and instead there's a small click, like a switch is being flipped. And then--
Music starts blaring through every single speaker on the ship. Enjoy, everyone!]
