AHEM. Greetings, residents of the S.S. Thor. As a few of you may have already noted, some of the science department's experimental Youth Bots have escaped and are running amok throughout the ship. Please don't panic! Those responsible for the robots' escape are aware of the situation and assure us they are taking steps to remedy it.
[the speaker is interrupted by a muttered voice, which the microphone does not pick up clearly]
What do you mean you can't get him down? Knock him off if you have to, he can't be up there!
I'm sure this will be fixed sooner rather than later.
[And the feed clicks off. Sounds like at least one of the captains has a personal interest in getting things back to normal ASAP, at least!]

Okay, guys, this is it! Go nuts! To recap, this is what is going down:
Some of the scientists on the Thor have had a revolutionary break-through! Also, a revolutionary break-out! Small robots equipped with de-aging rays have staged a revolt against their cruel and inhumane creators, and escaped from their little boxes to run freely about the station, zapping unsuspecting passersby at random and creating all sorts of chibi havoc!
×) This is NOT an Improbability Drive event - the ship is stationary, and will be remaining in orbit around Juswaldi through the month of September.
×) Whether or not your character gets zapped with one of these robots is completely up to each player! Also, what happens to your character once they are zapped is pretty much up to you as well.
→While this is a de-aging event, if for some reason you'd like to age your character up instead, that's totally fine! Some of the robots may be malfunctioning a bit - after all, this is still new, experimental technology we're talking about!
→What your character remembers is also entirely up to you. So basically whether their mental age stays the same or is regressed (or progressed!) to match their new physical age is something we're leaving up to the players.
→How old your character becomes is also up to you! You can subtract or add ten, twenty, fifty years...however many might be applicable to get the age you want.
→Clothing is not affected by the de-aging rays. Whatever your character was wearing when they were chibified will remain unchanged. So you know that slinky Little Black Dress that hugged you in All The Right Places and those saucy strap-on heels you were wearing on your hot date? Yeah, you're still wearing them. Have fun with that. 8)
→If your character is some kind of robot and/or inorganic being, and you still want to participate in the event, feel free! There's not a lot of logic to the de-aging rays, so go wild with tiny-fying or what have you.
→It is possible for your character to be hit multiple times during the event, so if you're not happy with the age you initially selected or you'd like for your character to suffer random de-aging at inopportune moments, then by all means! Go for it! :D
×) Depending on the event's popularity, it will last for three or four days, ending either on the 2nd or 3rd.
×) Missions will resume as usual this month! They will be going up along with the Lightning Post at the end of the event, so Thursday or Friday.
×) And because we can never have too many reminders about the Activity Check....if you haven't yet posted your activity for August, please do so now!
