[The first thing you hear as the guide blinks on is the lapping of waves; the second thing is a particularly loud voice a little ways in the distance.
Has the owner of the guide lost it to a river?]
OI, OI! SOIFON-TAICHOU! WALK DOWN HERE AND TALK WITH ME! C'MONNNN! [And said voice belongs to one Uzumaki Naruto, wearing a certain hat.]
[The Guide pans up a bit. Walking along a rock ridge several meters above is a small Asian woman, scanning the distance. She breaks focus for a second, shooting an irritated look Naruto's way. Said look implies this has been going on for quite some time.]
Focus on your job, Uzumaki.
[Naruto seems to spot something. His eyes get a little rounder with wonder as he rushes over an crouches down near a rock.] Oi, Soifon-taichouuu! Lookit this! It's a... a... [It's obvious he doesn't know what it is, but he seems to come up with something at least.] ... spotted kinklesnake! They're really rare 'round here!
[There's a brief snicker from somewhere close by, and then the guide is definitely moving -- to a better vantage point. The creature in question is distinctly four-legged.]
[Despite being fairly distant from the guide, 'irritated glare' is written into the small woman's posture.] "Leave it alone."
[She jumps easily to a higher perch after the curt reply, continuing her lookout.]
[Naruto frowns a bit and lets out a quiet whine. She's not the company he was looking for, but he's determined to get her to loosen up. He reaches down to pick it up and show her. All is well until the small creature snaps and bites Naruto on the hand.] ... CRIKEY! IT BIT ME! [He flails his arm for a moment and the poor animal goes sailing across the river as it lets go.]
"I told you to leave it alone."
[The blond then stands up wobbily and seems to be much paler than his usual tan self.] Ahh... I think... SHIT I THINK IT WAS POISONOUS. SOIFON-TAICHOUUUU! SUCK THE POISON OUT OR I'LL DIE!
[Now you can definitely hear the guide's owner -- Suigetsu is pretty much laughing his ass off, somewhat muffled in the water, the view from the guide zigzagging left and right for a bit until he calms down a little.]
[The figure up on the ridge just stands there, staring for a long moment. In fact, it almost seems she was going to continue on. Finally, Soifon sighs, smoothly jumping from her perch to the riverbank. At some point, the one-armed woman had pulled her sword out of its sheath.]
Sting all to death, Suzumebachi.
[She draws a wide circle in the air with her hand, sword glowing. When the glow fades, the sword resembles a single-clawed gauntlet.]
[Naruto seems to turn even paler (if that's possible) and begins to back away slowly while holding his hands up in front of him.] N-No! Don't sting all to death! I can survive this if ya just suck out the poison! DON'T STING ME TO DEATH!
Hold still, Uzumaki. You're spreading the venom faster.
[Perhaps it would have been wiser to explain that was trying to cure the poison, but it was hard to tell if it simply slipped her mind or if Soifon simply didn't care.]
[As he continues to back up, Naruto doesn't notice the rock behind him. He trips on it and lands on his ass, eyes wide in terror as he stares up at Soifon.] B-But... we're ROOMMATES! This isn't right!
I'm saving your life, Uzumaki. You're turning blue.
[Soifon's one arm pulls back slightly, preparing for a half-hearted, weak stab with the golden claw.]
C-C-CR-CRIKEY!!
[And with that, quite abruptly, the screen goes black.]
[OOC: Naruto, Soifon, and Suigetsu as your dedicated cameraman of the hour! The hunt for Largefoot will be long and arduous...
