Umm well, when I've gotten Thai food sometimes, or even some Chinese, my entree has pineapple in it, and I just love how it tastes with the rice- white or fried. Maybe in the last stages of the rice's prep drain most of the juice from a small can of chopped pineapple, and dump the pineapple bits and a bit of the juice in. That way the pineapple heats up a bit too, and the flavor cooks into the rice a bit. And then maybe add a bit of sweet and sour sauce? I imagine that would be tasty. :)
