Five Questions

Nov 08, 2009 13:33

I really meant to do this sooner.

Leave me a comment saying "Resistance is Futile."
• I'll respond by asking you five questions so I can satisfy my curiosity
• Update your journal with the answers to the questions
• Include this explanation in the post and offer to ask other people questions.

Here are the answers to the questions dreamflower asked me last ( Read more... )

Thanks. Some of those really made me think. I like it when memes do that. I think my favorite one was #3.:)

I always think it's interesting to hear why people love the characters that they do, especially with respect to a book like Lord of the Rings (which has so many fascinating and well-developed characters!)... :o)

I am fascinated by that, too. Truth to tell, I could go on and on about Pippin. Way too much.:)

Question #3 was my favorite with #1 a close second.

BTW, who is your favorite character and LOTR, if you don't mind me asking?

Of course I don't mind you asking, although it's a hard question to answer... :o) There's so many to choose from!

I love Sam, and although he's one of my favorites, I don't think I'd call him *the* favorite. Eowyn used to be my very favorite, but as I've gotten older Faramir (who used to be just behind Eowyn) has become my most favorite (I don't know if I could choose just one exclusively!). I also really like Eomer, but he's probably only in my top four, behind Sam. So there you go - long answer to your question! :o)

I find your answer to number five very interesting. It sounds like even given the chance, you wouldn't change the events of that day because it would change you. I don't know if I would have the wisdom to know that if it were me.
And it does have a "Flashforward" kinda thing going on, doesn't it?

I guess the part of the accident I'd most want to avoid is the pain. That hurt more than any other thing in my life ever did, even childbirth.:) To tell the truth, I think it made me a better person--more caring and compassionate. It also gave me the chance to be a stay-at-home mom during the Tween's preschool years. It also got us out of the crappy apartment we were in.

The more I wrote on that question the more I thought of "Flashforward". After all, so many of the characters in that show are trying to figure out how to make the future play out differently.

I guess this proves that there really can be benefits to the bad things that happen in our lives if we are willing to look for them. I am not always that willing. : )
