Today was the 500 Festival Mini Marathon. My goal had been to finish and finish faster than I ever had. I was hoping for a time of 3 hours and 30 minutes. I finish in 3 hours and 36 minutes. I'm happy with that, especially considering the weather. It was between 47 and 48 degrees (F) and the winds were blowing at 22 mph. with gusts to 30. ( Read more... )

For some reason it has gotten quite cold today. We're under a freeze warning for tonight. I thought it was supposed to be summer.

Yeah, Friday it was 82 here and yesterday it was 54, but that didn't come till later in the day. Fortunately, I don't think we got the frost they were predicting.

Congratulations! You should be very proud of that time. I would have commented sooner but I've had internet issues and this is the first day that I've had really good internet connection in ages. So, congratulations!

Sorry I've been so slow to reply, GW. I haven't even been on lj in ages.

Thanks for the congratulations. Now I'm actually sort of looking forward to next year. I think I can knock even more time off. I hate training for the darn thing, but finishing it is such a rush.
