GenConOz where I met Paul McGillion and David Nykl!!

Jul 06, 2008 14:47

For the last three days, I've been spending all my waking hours, either at GenConOz, thinking about GenConOz, or dreaming about GenConOz. (you may not wish to know *who* was in my dream about GenConOz...but um..*ahem*)

David Nykl was at the Con on Friday, and I got there extra special super early to meet him. Unfortunately though, the photographer had missed his plane, and hence David had not arrived yet. But when he did...awwww what a gorgeous man he is in real life!

There were hardly any visitors yet, so I was standing back and admiring the view, when a Klingon came up and started talking to him. I still hung back, unsure what to do, when the Klingon came over to me and introduced me to David.

I stuck around for a few minutes, just chatting, and when I went to leave, he said it was okay, there was no one else around and I may as well just stick around. So I did for a bit more until I just started to blabber (I embarrass myself).

So I left Friday extremely happy and content, having met David Nykl in person, had a really wonderful conversation with him and Mungo McKay about preservatives and artifical sweeteners.

He had bought a pack of mini Cherry Ripes, which he was about to enjoy on of, when Mungo McKay started talking about ingredients and artificial sweeteners and what they are made from and what they do, where they come from. Poor David...he only wanted to enjoy a Cherry Ripe, thankyou very much! (his words)

I also met the Storm Troopers from Star Wars, and also Darth Vader.

I was able to get my hands on Sheppard and McKay with the toys, and also some other stuff...will post loot later.

Pictures follow, and Saturday will be in the next post.
