OMG you guys! Spain won and my bb Navas played and almost scored an awesome, beautiful goal and it was his first national team appearance EVER and if he had scored I would have legit started crying tears of intense crazy pride!!! ohgod it was sooooooooooooooooooooo amazing having Navas play FINALLY.
When I heard he was warming up, I got super excited and then when he was on the sideline waiting to be put in I was screaming "stop the game and let him in!!!!"
I'm seriously proud of him too and I was yelling at the top of my lungs when he almost got that ball past.
I'm not a Sevilla supporter but Jesus Navas is a beautiful player and I always love to see people like him get their chance to play like they deserve.

OMG I seriously had a mini heart attack or something when he almost scored. That would've seriously been the best debut EVER. I got all verklempt from the minute they showed him warming up. And then when he was waiting to go in and he was in the wrong spot and they had to physically move him over? <333333

hahah aww that was adorable. The only thing I was upset about was that he only got to play about 15 minutes. Had he played longer, that debut goal might've happened. Here's hoping this won't be his last match with la seleccion!

and lol ohmygod I always get all irked when people wear Nando's 9 but I didn't care AT ALL when I saw him with it.

Me too. The minute the 2nd half started I was like, I WANT NAVAS!!! Del Bosque didn't listen though. :( But I'm hoping that he is impressed enough that he'll keep calling Jesus up. *crosses fingers*

I didn't even think about the number until after the match was over, ha. It didn't bother me too much because the 9 is pretty much Nando's designated number now. Negredo got the 7 when Villa was injured but Villa got it back when he was fit again so the same will most likely happen with this.
