Intro post

Having met lots of nice new people at the cox_and_co post, and enjoyed reading their intros, I thought I should do one of my own. It occurs to me that I should stick this in my user profile too. I'm always interested to read other people's "bio" section, but I don't really have one myself ( Read more... )

Hey, you too? I loved the series - just in the middle of rereading it now, in fact - but I only recently paid attention to the fact that there was quite an active fandom too.

Oh lovely! Who is your favourite character? :)

That would have to be Stephen! Though I have a soft spot for Jack and Sophie too, and Diana's a fascinating character… What can I say? I like all of them! How about you? :)

And I never knew you liked Star Trek TOS. One of my first fandoms, before I even knew what a fandom was! :)

I never knew you did either! :) Actually, the funny thing is, I've probably read more Trek fic than anything else, and yet I think today was the first time I ever typed the words Star Trek on lj.

One of my first fandoms, before I even knew what a fandom was!
I'm embarrassed to say I remember writing terribly Mary-Sue-ish TOS fic as a teenager, before I even knew what fanfic was :)

*g* Indeed, who didn't? It makes me blush to think of it. Though the first thing I actually wrote down (on paper, in my native language) was Spock/Uhura. Waaaaay before they became reboot canon. I still have it somewhere.

Just discovering Starsky and Hutch at the moment, too.

Don't mind me, I'll just be hyperventilating in the corner *g*

I'm loving it! Can't believe what I've been missing out on during all those Starsky-and-Hutch-free years.

I just noticed -- at least according to what you have posted on AO3 -- that it's pretty much your main fandom, no?

\o/ There is much slashy goodness in S&H, yes indeed!

I've written and recorded more in S&H than in any other fandom, yes :) But the count is deceiving; most of the fic are drabbles, and I've cracked 10K words only once so far :-P

Oh, and I meant to say, nice to find another Ritchie 'verse fan! They have excellent chemistry and really are a lot of fun to watch. I've only see a bit of Livanov and Solomin so far, but they are too adorable for words.

One of the first things I did when I discovered the existence of slash was to type 'Holmes Watson slash' into google.

May I just commend you on your excellent instincts? :D

Well, it's pretty much the best use you can put a search engine to, isn't it? ;D
