Whoops, this reminds me that one of my New Year's Resolutions was to read more non-fanfic fiction, which I haven't been doing at all so far. Not because there's anything wrong with fanfic, of course, but more because I feel like over the past year or two I've been missing out on a lot of good fiction by only reading fanfic.

Eeee, we really do have a lot of faves in common \o/ Y'know, another friend is a big Georgette Heyer fan too; I'm going to have to check her stories out one day. You know, in my copious free time (yeah, right)

Actually, you know Georgette Heyer wrote in two completely different genres? Classic mystery novels, and Regency romance. And while I usually like mystery novels (Agatha Christie, Patricia Wentworth, Dorothy L Sayers etc.) I find GH's mysteries rather dull. And though I'm not usually too keen on Regency romance, I've read all of GH's multiple times. So I don't really know if my recommendation's a reliable one! :)

No, actually I only knew about the romance stories! I don't read Regencies much any more, but there was a time... ah, youth XD
