Oh, interesting. And I'm so glad you found technology that works for you!
I always write linearly and in complete sentences when I write on a keyboard--it's like the turns of phrase are part of the story for me, and if I'm not happy with them then I can't go on writing. But I imagine it would take me some time to adjust if I couldn't type anymore!
That's really interesting. Sounds like the complete opposite of what I do. It's so cool to hear all the different approaches people have. I've often wondered.
First off, I'm certainly glad that you have found some tech that works for you! What software are you using. I have an Android tablet also and I must say, my score so far with voice recognition is 0. It seems to get about 1 word in 10 right and then it's misspelled. Maybe I need a separate mic, not just the built in one? It sounds great in theory, but so far I haven't been able to make it work.
I also have an Android tablet comma one of the older models I think because they were selling them off cheap . It's a Samsung. I didn't install any special software . I'm just using there small microphone icon on the touch screen keypad . Which allows you to switch to dictating instead of typing. in Settings, language and input, it's called Google voice typing. I find it works much better when I'm connected to a strong internet signal then when I'm offline. When I first started, I had a similar experience to you. However I persisted since it was that or nothing. I wrote This entire comment using the voice recognition on my tablet, to give you an idea of what's possible. I have only corrected four words in this entire paragraph. The secret is to speak at a steady Pace, with a slight pause between each word. If you speak too fast or run their words together, it can't understand. If you speak too slowly it is forced to try to recognize individual words instead of recognizing sentences and it seems recognizing sentences is easier
