Really? Really?!

My phone rang 7 times today so far. All of them from some person to tell me to vote today for whatever politician they're calling for.

I already voted. I might have changed my mind had I gotten all these damned annoying calls before I did it, though. Go away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nah. You aren't at all like the stupid people who let let phone calls determine their vote.

You just aren't.

No, they wouldn't have convinced me to vote for them, it would have been the other way. If I wanted to be nagged by my elected officials, I'd vote for my mom!

I can't really say that I would have changed my vote, though. They've both been calling as much as the other...

Oh, I know what you meant.

I'm saying I don't think you're that small minded. (I'm hearing that as an ACTUAL reason for voting a certain way and it's maddening. Of course, it's from teh dumb kids, so what can you do?)

You mean those phone calls actually do something other than annoy people? Maybe I should start calling random people and telling them they should give me five bucks...

And I wouldn't change my vote just because they were annoying me on the phone. Once they get elected, they don't call you anymore. It's like a one-night stand, only there's even less emotional attachment.
