I love the holidays, I love buying gifts for folks I love, I love carolers, I love department store Santas. I get a buzz starting December 1st and don't lose it until around mid January. But I don't like hearing Christmas carols 24 hours a day, everywhere I go from November 1st (or earlier). It does not put me in the holiday spirit and it does not ( Read more... )

I try to counteract the bad Christmas music by making a couple mix CDs of good Xmas music to listen to when I'm driven insane by the crap. Thankfully, I don't work at B&N anymore, so I don't have to listen to it for hours on end.

Weirdly, the CD people have been downloading from me the most on SoulSeek right now in Christmas With the Chipmuks. Who knew they were so popular??

Actually I like Alvin and the boys but not before December 1st. I worked in an operating room and one Christmas, the other staff did Christmas music from October through February. Can we all say 'Gimme my Uzi.'

I still have both Chipmunk Rock and Christmas With the Chipmunks on vinyl, just so show you how hip I am. ;)

Christmas music in Feb?? It should be banned from existance after New Years.

Unless its Celine Dion, Michael Bolton or Whitney Houston. Then it should just be banned.

Dude, you still have your vinyl? How cool is that. I wish I still had mine but my entire 364 album collection was stolen by a supposed friend.

I hear you. It drove me nuts to hear christmas music before Thanksgiving was anywhere near. Let us celebrate one holiday before we move on to the next.

But if you can get out of the 'retail' aspect of xmas I love the holidays.

Hey did you watch SVU last night!?!? Is it just me or did it seem a little off? First the fact that we had no resolution on the whole Anthrax thing...and what's up with the reporter they're just leaving him in jail? And HOW in the world did the three girls get sent home with the crazy aunt who doesn't remember what year it is and who's not even their blood relative (or did I miss something...) The episode just seemed all over. It had really good potential then every time it built up it seemed to flop...

Was it just me?

It did not record and I didn't find out until the show was over, but everybody keeps saying I didn't miss much. You did hear about Mariska's pregnancy, didn't you. I wonder how they'll handle that? The Elliot/Olivia shipper in me has such high hopes, but I doubt it will happen. *pout*

I didn't hear about that. Is she even married? Sorry I don't follow along with all these things. it'll be interesting to see how things play out!! Mmmm Elliot and Olivia :) I'd go for it...of course he's just seperated or did they finally get a divorce. I know he asked for one. I just didn't know if it was final?

Yeah she was married August 28, 2004 to actor Peter Hermann who has played defense attorney Trevor Langan (19 appearances) on SVU. Elliott Stabler-actor Christopher Meloni's daughter Sophia was a flower girl in her wedding. According to Meloni on his website the prettiest women at the wedding were his wife Sherman, his daughter and Mariska. Isn't he a sweetie. Oh and as for Elliot's marital status he told Olivia a few eps ago that Kathy filied for divorce. The separation and divorce by the way were Kathy's idea, Elliot is very torn up by the whole thing.
