Personality:
At first glance, Yukari seems like the generic popular character, but in actuality underneath her cheerful façade, she’s highly conflicted. Yukari suffers some serious trust issues and refuses to allow anyone get too close to her in fear of getting hurt again. These trust issues stem from her problems with her parents. When her father dies, her mother took to finding comfort in men which Yukari sees as a betrayal, both to herself and to her father’s memory. On her father’s side, Yukari has always loved her father dearly, always believing in him. However, when she learns that her father was involved with the creation of the Dark Hour and the shadows, that trust gets shaken badly and she enters a state of disbelief and confusion as to what she can believe in anymore. Also, Yukari refuses to get too close to anyone as she’s worried she will be left alone again. She remained always slightly emotionally distant to everyone until she met Minako Arisato. She previously felt like no one would be able to understand her because of the situation with her parents but then Minako came along with an even worse situation than Yukari, seeing as both of her parents were deceased. Yukari finally found someone that she felt could understand her and finding someone she could consider a true friend. Despite her emotional distance, Yukari does have friends. She enjoys teasing Junpei or as she calls him, “Stupei.”
Yukari’s generally an energetic, positive girl but she’s not afraid of confrontation and she has a tendency to rapidly change her moods. It’s notable that when Minako saved Yukari from being hit by a car, her first reaction was to thank Minako but then she quickly gets mad out of having to rely on someone else, believing that is a sign of weakness. She has a tendency to overestimate her abilities, leading her group into difficult situations. For example, the time Yukari decided to go to the bad side of the city in order to investigate. If it wasn’t for Shinjiro’s timely arrival, the investigation would have ended pretty badly to say the least.
Over the game, Yukari manages to mature from the combination of spending of spending time with Minako and becoming friends with Mitsuru. Mitsuru and Yukari become close friends by the end of the game. It started with Mitsuru feeling guilty because of her grandfather being the cause of Yukari’s father’s death and with Yukari hating Mitsuru for the same reason even though she did not know how her father died for sure. When she learns that her father helped bring the Dark Hour and Tartarus, Yukari and Mitsuru finally talk it out, becoming friends. Yukari also faces her own faults, unlocking Isis.

+ Gifted at magic: Yukari specializes in wind magic and healing and is one of the options for a support character.
+Cheerful, lively
+Confident: Yukari’s completely confident in herself which correlates with her popularity.
+Headstrong: Once she decides on something, don’t even try to convince her otherwise. She’s not letting anything get in her way biznatch.
+Caring: She actually is pretty caring which is shown by her initial unease with watching the MC without them knowing and when the MC wakes up after getting injured, she feels bad enough about the situation she blurts out some of her own secrets.
Weaknesses:
-Electricity
-Overestimates herself: Yukari often believes that her abilities are way beyond what they actually are.
-Easily jealous: She’s jealous of everyone, whether it’s Mitsuru for appearing to be so much better than her or Aigis in The Answer for Aigis getting the ability to use multiple personas.
-Isolates herself; hides her true feelings: Yukari initially feels that no one can understand her because she’s an orphan with her father deceased and her mother in no state to take care of her. She hides her loneliness and instead of opening up to someone she hides it away because she doesn’t feel anyone else would get her. Luckily, she eventually opens up to Minako when the two become friends.
-Holds grudges: Yukari has held a grudge against her mother for forever and when she discovers her father’s betrayal of trust, she holds on to the anger for a long while.

[Yukari enters the Violet City café, marching to the pastry display, looking nervous. She looks mildly conflicted while she stares at the bakery’s gleaming display of pastries]
Ugh, these look good. But aren’t Western foods supposed to make you gain weight like crazy? That’s one more thing that totally sucks about this world. They only have all this seriously fattening food.
[Yukari sighs and she subtly starts feeling her stomach as she stares at the cakes. Suddenly, her eyes brighten as she comes to a realization]
Oh yeah! Since I’m walking around so much that totally burns off tons of calories. I can probably eat whatever I want, right?
Third Person Sample:
After getting over the initial confusion of being kicked out of someone's house by someone who claimed to be her mother, Yukari merely stares at her new Eevee with a look of utter shock on her face. "...Oh man. You're kidding me." She's seen this creature. Anyone with any knowledge of mainstream culture was familiar with the first 150 Pokemon and especially anyone who knew Junpei, one of the biggest Pokefanatics out there, knew about the first set of Pokemon.
"This isn't even possible!" Yukari shouts, flabbergasted at the sights around her. "...Then again, it shouldn't be possible for Tartarus to exist either. I shouldn't be thinking about that! I don't have the time! I should be trying to find my way out of here. Is this like a new level of Tartarus? Ugh. What am I even saying? That's completely ridiculous. Why would a level of Tartarus be designed after a video game? "
Yukari quickly looks around New Bark Town, spotting a few NPCs but no one that looked familiar. "Hey! Is anyone around? Minako? Junpei? Fuuka? Guess I'm on my own, except for this thing." She looks down at the Eevee at her feet again. The Eevee stares back with a mildly offended look on its face, as if it was saying "excuse me?"
"Yeah, yeah. Sorry. I guess you aren't a thing.. And what am I doing. Am I talking to an animal? I've totally gone crazy, haven't I? I haven't even been alone long enough to go insane... Right. You know what? Come on, Io." The Eevee looks uncomprehendingly at Yukari. "That's what I'm calling you. It's after my first persona. It's what kinda started a new stage in my life, y'know. I'm guessing this one's going to be another. Let's go find out if there's anyone who knows what's going on around, Io. "
