Something Wonderful

Dec 29, 2009 15:59

Malcolm Pham Miller, born 4:35pm, 28th December 2009, 3.8 kg (about 8.4lb) and very healthy. People are saying he looks like his grandad (my dad), which may be true, though I think he definitely has Nhu's nose. He's an adorable little thing, and we're really... looking forward to all the wonderful times ahead :)

Congratulations! He's even wearing his hat for New Year's.

(Whew! I think I got in before orogeny!)

Thanks Bart! Yep, we want to get him started with the tradition as early as possible. Which is why we'll be holding our New Year celebrations in the hospital room ;)

That last part is most likely true, because Nhu probably won't be out of the hospital until Jan 2nd. But a nice quiet one will be a nice change :)

A great end to a tumultuous decade! And a great beginning to the next (not-so-tumultuous) one :D

I bet Malcolm will provide plenty of tumult! And I'm looking forward to hearing about every last bit of it. =D

I'm hoping he provides plenty of tümült, because tumult is better with umlauts!

Oh congrats! What a sweetie! Babies in hats are something like 500% cuter, and babies start out pretty cute.

Congratulations to you both! wow, how wonderful, and I love his name. awwwww, so cute!

Nhu's not out of the hospital until Jan 2nd!? Is she all right? Which, I know different countries have different policies regarding hospital stays, but that's *very* different from the within-12-hours-after-giving-birth they had me out, so I thought I'd ask.

Yeah, 5 days is pretty standard for a c-section over here... which is the same length of time my sister spend in hospital in Scotland when she had her first baby. So no worries! She's still recovering, but otherwise fine :)
