Heff's Passing

A little over two years ago, I re-discovered Heff's coolness factor when she posted this reply to my blog concerning my song choices for singing to Jacob:

Yeah, she was uber-cool. I remember her singing the Battle of Evermore to me one night at the purple porpoise when I told her it was one of my favorite songs. Beer, wings, and a singing woman. Life doesn't get much better. Oh, and for the record, we were just friends, nothing more. But still a glorious night hanging out with Heff many, many years ago.

The thing about cancer is, there's different ways to beat it. The thing about life is, there isn't.

So, I figure Heff did kick cancer's ass, primarily because she made her choices and lived with and by them. And I think you pegged it; she's found the Smoking Section, and she's hangin' with Jimi and a bunch of others.

In case you haven't figured it out, I wandered in here by way of Heff's place, and I'll be wandering on now. Um, I did wipe my shoes first.
