Battle of Wills

Tonight's dinner was leftover pot roast. Jacob took one look at it, declared it "yucky" and pushed it away. Thus began a long evening of battling wills.

To battle! )

par for the course. so when you guys gonna have a third and make things challenging? ;)

seriously, though. major sympathy. no solutions, mind you, just sympathy. zali's been known to be served the same plate of food three or four times on rare occasions (1-2 days is my limit on reheating/refrigerating food for safety reason). these days a popular answer is to serve just the veggies first and she can have the rest once she's eaten them. also, ketchup makes the world go round.

Yeh, I'm not too worried about Alicia taking Jacob's "yucky" comments personally. I'd just like him to learn some respect and that speaking negatively about something someone does for you can hurt their feelings.

Thanks for your input (and everyone elses)!

Nope. You did everything exactly right. You are a fully competent parent. Nothing to see here, move along...
