The beautiful dialectic between Chudan and Jodan has always fascinated me - it is so poetic that in an art that is so singular and so defined there could exist an evil twin, a bizarre other.

The decision to become a Jodan kenshi for some extensive length of time stems from a deeper psychological desire to adopt the intensity of the Fudo Myoo into not only my own swordsmanship but my life as a whole which so far has been far more suited to the idea of Chudan no kamae.
