First and foremost, I had a kid!

Before I start my normal blogging routine I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who read my last (first) entry in 3 years (http://garyjr.livejournal.com/315450.html). All that positive reinforcement and happiness totally washed over me like barrells of sunshine on this rainy Tuesday in ( Read more... )

Adorable. How did or do you handle the constant care issue though? That's always been my biggest barrier to dog ownership.

Well I got lucky, my bosses have (had) two dogs at work every day so I asked if I could bring him in through the puppy training process so I got a crate at work and he took the subway every day with me for five months. It really helped because he was SUPER SOCIALIZED with people and loves everyone. He just sat in my lap TRYING DESPERATELY to make eye contact with ANYONE who would pay attention to him.

Now that he's older he can hold going to the bathroom all day so I leave him at home but he's welcome back any time. I do still ride my bike home at lunch though so he doesn't feel unloved (or have any accidents). He basically runs to the sidewalk to pee and runs right back to the front door because he knows we're going to play ball when we get inside.

Oh, he's gorgeous.

And by the way, when you're sad, a dog or a cat (though I think I dog's better, even though I have 2 cats) will certainly help you feel better. So, before when you said, "no one to share it with..." trust me, you have someone. And the best, he doesn't talk back. LOL.

Oh he talks--actually it's more of a whineeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee and a whimper--he only barks when he hears a noise he can't explain.

Most definitely. It's too bad you're not closer. I have almost every episode from 1985-1988 on bootleg DVD. :) I started watching again six months ago and I'm only up to Eden and Cruz's first wedding attempt when the hotel catches fire. And someone is trying to kill Kelly because she grabbed the wrong suitcase. The last episode I literally saw was when they revealed Sophia to be Channing's killer. What an amazing performance. Watching Days of our Lives now you can see what a great show SB was. The stories were compelling and all the actors were top notch. It always felt like a play--not fluff.

You are also displaying my favorite Mason! I always thought he played the part best. I am tempted to fly up there to watch those DVDs haha.

I remember that show! I think I have that on an old tape, but it's probably ready to break apart after all these years. I couldn't wait to get home from school so I could watch.

Days kinda bores me anymore. All the people that made the show have been cut.

I agree! Lane Davies was always the best Mason. Gordon Thompson did wonders to restore Mason to his glory days but by then he was saddled with a shitty storyline when they fired the Dobsons for a second time.

Days is beyond boring. The only story I follow is the Stefano/Nicole/EJ one.
