It seems like it should be possible to make requests to Google Translate programmatically. Like, you could write out your text as a web page, and then do some "wget http://translate.google.com/translate?u=http://garzahd.com/webpage43.txt&sl=ru&tl=en&hl=en&ie=UTF-8" plus text parsing.
